I'm not gettin defensive...I'm just trying to figure out for the life of me why this even matters.. It was minor IMO. It has no bearing on anything..no one got hurt, killed, etc. One guy ****es one off and gets hit...that's all. What's so important about that? What urgent message am I missing?

Really, there's nothing to get except that society has come to the point that a guy getting punched in a football game is a travesty just cuz ESPN says so..I've seen worse fights at practice than that.

Agreed. If the Oregon back hadn't been running his D/S'er before the game started the B/S kid probably wouldn't have known who he was.

Both guys are idiots and showed no class. However, Blount has to be the bigger one. If you are going to run your mouth before the game , and probably during, you better be man enough to take a shot of it yourself.
The worst part of it though has to be the way he reacted toward his teammates and the fans after the incident. He obviously has no self-control.
